‌Case Description of Waterproofing Project by Yantai Water Resources Bureau

Waterproofing in water conservancy projects is related to the safety and lifespan of the projects. The projects of Yantai Water Conservancy Bureau have extremely high requirements for waterproofing quality. Our company, relying on its professional advantages, undertook its 160,000 meters waterproofing project and completed it in 90 days, with the participation of over 80 construction workers.

The construction environment of the project is complex, and conventional materials are difficult to meet the requirements. Our company adopts a composite system of a new type of polymer self-adhesive waterproof membrane (176,000 square meters, including 10% reserve) and 128,000kg of waterproof coating. The tensile strength at break of the membrane reaches 18MPa, and the bonding strength of the coating is 1.5MPa, far exceeding the national standard.

The entire construction process is standardized. The base treatment ensures it is flat and dry. The waterproof layer is fully adhered and laid, and the coating is applied in multiple coats. The introduction of automatic welding machines and other equipment has increased the construction efficiency by 40%, and the qualified rate of coil welding has reached 99.8%.

Fifteen quality inspectors provided full control throughout the process. We conducted 32 random inspections of raw materials, 216 thickness tests, and 144 bonding strength tests to ensure the construction quality. The 72-hour water-tightness test showed no leakage, and the project was delivered with high quality, demonstrating our company's waterproofing capabilities and setting a benchmark for waterproofing in water conservancy projects.‌
