Hot-desert climates pose unique challenges, such as thermal expansion and UV degradation, for polymer waterproof membranes. Weifang Luyang’s TPO membranes, reinforced with titanium dioxide pigments, offer exceptional UV resistance and heat reflection. A solar farm in Saudi Arabia’s Rub’ al Khali desert used our membranes to protect underlying insulation from extreme heat, boosting energy efficiency by 10%. The membranes’ white surface also reduced surface temperatures by 20°C, mitigating thermal stress on solar panels. Our technical team conducted accelerated aging tests in our lab, simulating 10 years of desert exposure to validate performance.
